Strategic Business Development Consultant – New Jersey – Virtual |

Job Accountabilities/Tasks include, but not limited to: |
- Consult customers on CargoSmart Solutions.
- Foster business relationships and develop rapport with customers at Corporate Level.
- Align customer operational needs with CargoSmart Solutions.
- Influence clients on the benefit and value of transforming their business.
- Understand customer’s needs and challenges to derive the customer value proposition. Develop and package solutions that maximize customer value, measure business goal, increase the aggregate value.
- Evaluate return on investment for clients. Monitor and measure ROI progress. Meet with customers to review their adoption and ROI progress.
- Support customers with their annual carrier analysis and review.
- Develop tactics with clients on operational improvement strategies.
- Analyze and understand customer business objectives, requirements, and use cases.
- Analyze different industry segments and create solution packages by segments and uses.
- Identify target industry segments, forecast potential revenue and grow revenue accordingly to goals.
- Develop and secure new business opportunities in assigned region for selling a complete range of CargoSmart standardized/customized products, services and solutions to maximize the revenue return.
- Manage and drive up revenue through complex, multiple go-to-market strategies, achieve assigned business goals and sales targets.
- Manage the deal cycle in Account Planning, Relationship Management, Opportunity/Demand Pipeline Management, Developing Proposal, and Deal Closing.
- Drive account penetration roadmap to acquire, develop, and retain our most valuable customers.
- Collaborate with Business Development Manager and assist with client development and closing deals.
- Be responsible and accountable for aggressive sales/revenue targets for assigned region.
- Develop relationships with regional/local offices of global accounts and ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Identify customer opportunities, market segments within the region, and work with the marketing department on programs relating to sales functions.
- Develop case studies and use cases.
- Act as project sponsor for integration projects, ensuring projects proceed expeditiously and that projected deadlines and commitments are met. Collaborate with Operations to align client processes with CargoSmart support processes.
- Collaborate with Product Management group on business requirements and product packaging.
- Maintain the CRM/Sales reporting system.
- Communicate effectively with teams across regions and functions by participating in weekly conference calls, quarterly business reviews, and international meetings.

Job Requirements: |

- Minimum 10 years of solid sales experience with a successful track record in Forwarding/Logistics/Transportation/ NVOCC/E-Commerce business sectors
- Passionate about selling software and sees value that systems can create for clients.
- Able to come up to speed quickly on CargoSmart products. Technology background is preferable.
- Well-established clients network in the forwarding/logistics/trade/transportation sectors is desirable
- Familiarity with local logistics/shipping/transportation/trade process and market dynamic is a plus
- Able to travel, mostly within assigned region, for sales activities required. Able to perform professional, quality phone calls and onsite visits to customers
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, strategic thinking, and attention to details
- Cheerful and outgoing, socially at ease in a mixture of environments, and capable of analyzing and presenting business cases at an international level
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, quick learner and team player with the energy, passion, and desire to achieve extraordinary results within the E-Commerce and logistics industry
- Must be bottom-line driven, pragmatic, objective, and detailed in ensuring thorough implementation, with the capacity to work within a changing business environment and under pressure
- Proficient in conducting presentations to corporate senior management level
- Telecommute/ home-based position. High-speed data connectivity and phone connectivity a must.
